A new class-action lawsuit has been filed against Valve over loot boxes in games

The lawsuit alleges that Valve uses casino-style mechanics to exploit millions of unsuspecting players, including children, and earn billions of dollars from it.

The lawsuit was registered on March 9, 2026, in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
