Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 received 12 nominations at The Game Awards — that's a record

Even The Last of Us Part II only got 11 at its time.

Besides "Game of the Year," the French masterpiece is nominated for "Best Game Direction," "Best Art Direction," "Best Narrative," "Best Role Playing Game," "Best Indie Game," "Best Indie Debut," "Best Soundtrack and Music," "Best Sound Design," and "Best Performance" (with three nominees).

Winners will be announced on the night of December 11 to 12.
