Electronic Arts will buy itself out for $50 billion to become a private company

The financing involves Silver Lake and the Public Investment Fund – the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia.

The deal, which will be the largest in history for taking a company from public to private status, could be closed as early as next week.

Whether they will stop releasing crap after this is still unknown.
