Gaming fact: Mushrooms can replace SSD drives

Scientists from Ohio have created "living chips" based on shiitake mushrooms, capable of storing and processing information.

Researchers believe that in the future such mushroom microchips could become an eco-friendly alternative to SSD drives. They are biodegradable and do not require rare earth metals.
