Three days before the outage, news appeared that Amazon decided to replace a significant portion of its live employees with neural networks. Literally, 40% of devops were laid off, and their places were taken by AI.

They work in production and perform key tasks for engineers — they are responsible for monitoring, rollbacks, and infrastructure fixes.

Everyone saw the result yesterday.
