The state authorities conducted a demonstrative experiment to prove the possibility of legalizing funds through the platform. The investigator bought skins in CS2 for $550, resold them, and used the proceeds to order a Steam Deck console. Then he sold it to a pawnshop for $180.

The prosecutor's conclusion: this creates a channel for converting virtual items into cash, which fraudsters can exploit.
