There will be no cryptocurrency in GTA VI — there were previously rumors about a very well developed in-game currency system

Tom Henderson stated that there will be nothing in the game except the usual dollars, as it's too complicated for understanding and would probably scare off some players

The developer also hinted that cryptocurrencies and NFTs will still appear in the game, but as a topic for ridicule and funny jokes in the style of the GTA series
